Fatehgarh Sahib (July 06, 2011): Fatehgarh Sahib has turned to be first district of Punjab to fully and firmly stand up in favour of clemency for Professor Devinderpal Singh Bhullar. All the 428 village Panchayats and four municipal councils, besides 57 other recognized bodies in the district have adopted resolutions seeking clemency for Prof. Bhullar. Bhullar's clemency petition was rejected by President of India on 26th May.
