I can only say Badal Dal and his family; Punjab Government, Punjab Police and the civil Administration are biased against the release of Sikh political prisoners. Expecting recommendation for premature release of Sikh political prisoners from Punjab Government is like expecting milk from a bull.

Survivors, AISSF and Sikh for Justice (SFJ) demanded that Justice Garg should visit the ruins of genocidal sites at Hondh, Pataudi and Gurgaon. The delegation also demanded that Commission should take action on FIR No. 91 dated November 03, 1984 and issue arrest warrant of persons named in that FIR.

In a statement here today, youth body’s chief Ranbir Singh and spokesperson Prabhjot Singh said, "The University is located on land belonging to Punjab. The management, under no pretext, can refuse to give quota to the sons of the soil."

Chandigarh (July 30, 2011): As per certain media reports the Gurdwara Election Commission on Friday notified 40 election symbols for various parties. An Express News Service (ENS) report adds that notification fixing dates for various stages of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee elections would be issued on August 4, when the process of nominations would start. The Central Government of India has already fixed the date of poll as 18th September, 2011.

Nabha (May 14, 2011): A youth leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) and former President of Sikh Students Federation, Mandhir Singh, got released on bail from Maximum security jail Nabha today. Bail was granted to Mandhir Singh on last Wednesday by Mansa Court upon failure of prosecution to file chargesheet against him with in specified statutory limit of 90 days. Panch Pardhani is led by Bhai Daljeet Singh Bittu, who is currently lodged in Amritsar Jail, allegedly for political reasons.
