Nayar, a Hindu ideologue, who pretends himself to be secular and 'friend' of Sikhs has always used his pen and imago to harm Sikh interests and serve the Indian state's desires. While I was reading my daily news, I came across Kuldeep Nayar's article on a number of English medium websites. One example is copied below (from a newspaper called the Statesman). This article is not really about the blacklist - it goes much wider than that. In his article Nayar is basically asking the Sikhs to simply forget the terrible injustices of the past as a way to restore harmony in Punjab. He does not seem to understand that reconciliation can only happen when injustices are removed and when the guilty are punished.

Amritsar, Punjab (December 20, 2012): Columnist and writer Kuldip Nayar has removed objectionable contents about Dal Khalsa and AISSF president Amrik Singh from his autobiography in order to pacify the hurt feelings of devout Sikhs. However, the author has not deleted the controversial portion relating to Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale, which has left the Panthic groups far from being satisfied.

Ludhiana (July 30, 2012): Harish Khare, a senior Indian journalist and former media advisor to the Prime Minister of India has made serious comments about Kuldip Nayar and his journalism. In a write-up titled: "Scoops, And Vanishing Cream" that has appeared in "Outlook" Magazine's current issue, Harish Khare says that "A great reporter, Nayar is also a regular flouter of objectivity, and a prime circulator of bogus, juicy gossip".
