London, UK: The Court of Appeal has reportedly turned down a sentencing application from four Sikhs who were convicted of attacking former Indian Army officer Kuldip Brar. Lieutenant-General Kuldeep Singh Brar, 78, was attacked as he walked with his wife in central London in 2012.

Frankfurt, Germany: Sikh sangat of Germany marked Shaheedi day of Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha and Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda at Gurdwara Sikh Center in Frankfurt on October 12. Duo had attained martyrdom on 9 October 1992 and their martyrdom day is marked by the global Sikh Sangat annually.

Nayar, a Hindu ideologue, who pretends himself to be secular and 'friend' of Sikhs has always used his pen and imago to harm Sikh interests and serve the Indian state's desires. While I was reading my daily news, I came across Kuldeep Nayar's article on a number of English medium websites. One example is copied below (from a newspaper called the Statesman). This article is not really about the blacklist - it goes much wider than that. In his article Nayar is basically asking the Sikhs to simply forget the terrible injustices of the past as a way to restore harmony in Punjab. He does not seem to understand that reconciliation can only happen when injustices are removed and when the guilty are punished.

New Delhi: India has reportedly repeated it's rhetoric against Sikh activists in Canada. As per Indian media reprots, India's Minister of external affairs, Sushma Swaraj, raised the issue of pro-Khalistan Sikh activism in Canada with John Baird, Foreign Minister of Canada. John Baird is currently on visit to India.

China objects to India’s road plans along border in Arunachal Pradesh

New Delhi, India: China today reacted strongly to reports that India plans to build a 2000-km long road in Arunachal Pradesh, asking New Delhi not to "further complicate" the dispute over the border. Indian and Chinese soldiers recent observed an intense face-off at Chumar area of Ladakh.

Chandigarh: Polling was held today in Haryana with reports of stray incidents of violence in which at least 32 persons including 10 policemen received injuries. Haryana is witnessing keen contest involving Congress, BJP and INLD. Polling was recorded at 65% at 4:30 pm.

Faridkot, Punjab: After coming out of the Faridkot jail on October 14, Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (Ad hoc) member Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal said the Punjab government tried to brand him as its biggest enemy and kept him behind bars even after the court granted him bail on October 7.

Faridkot, Punjab: Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal who was rearrested by Punjab police minutes after his release from Faridkot jail on October 09, was released from jail yesterday (Oct. 14). Baba Daduwal was rearrested under sections 107/151 (Cr. P. C.) at the pretext of threat to Law and Order situation.
