New Delhi, India (February 07, 2014): Naresh Gujral, Rajya Sabha MP and son of former Indian PM Inder Kumar Gujral has reportedly said that the documents declassified in the UK show the correspondence pertaining to the military offensive on the Harmandar Sahib (Amritsar) had been going on for at least six months before the actual attack took place. He said that “[t]he entire operation was premeditated”.

I’ve only seen the documents this morning and am told there are others that have been withheld. This is not good enough. It is not unreasonable to ask for an explanation about the extent of British military collusion with the government of Indira Gandhi.
