MI-5 officials had visited Darbar Sahib before 1984 attack on request of Indira Gandhi’s adviser R N Kao

Amritsar, Punjab (January 15, 2014): It is learnt that former R&AW officer B Raman who headed the so-called Sikh Extremists’ Division has also revealed in his book that officers of the British Security Service (MI-5) visited the Darbar Sahib, Amritsar (Golden Temple) to assess the ground situation before giving their advice to then Indian PM Indira Gandhi.

India seeks information from UK Govt. on UK’s help in planning of Indian army’s June 1984 attack on Sikhs

New Delhi, India (January 15, 2014): According to certain media reports India has sought information from Britain regarding reports that former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's government had helped Indira Gandhi and the Indian state in plan of June 1984 attack on Darbar Sahib to crush Sikh political dissent in Punjab.

New York, USA (January 15, 2014): With the information going public that Special Air Service (SAS) of United Kingdom was involved in planning the invasion of Golden Temple in 1984, “Sikhs For Justice” (SFJ) an international human rights group with the support of Sikh groups across World announced that British Parliament should immediately pass a “Resolution that action of PM Thatcher of colluding with Indira Gandhi to attack the holiest Sikh shrine was wrong”.

Amritsar, Punjab (January 15, 2014): It is learnt that a Sikh body, Dal Khalsa, has written a letter to Mr. David Cameron, Prime Minister of United Kingdom to express its pain, concern and anguish over the startling revelations as to how the then UK government under Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher helped Indian government to attack Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of the Sikhs at Amritsar in June 1984.
