Amidst easing tension Officials from India and Pakistan met Thursday amid easing tensions to discuss opening a visa-free border crossing to allow pilgrims to easily visit a Sikh shrine just inside Pakistan.
The officials of India and Pakistan held a meeting at Wagah-Attari crossing point between East and West Punjab. The meeting was held on East Punjab side. A joint statement was issued after the meeting.

China blocked on Wednesday India's bid to designate Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) 1267 list. China on Wednesday hinted that it may once again block the move, saying only "the solution that is acceptable to all sides" is conducive to resolve the issue.
