Dal Khalsa today expressed deep anguish and concern over the manner political as well as police leadership of the state was hoodwinking and deceiving the people either by maintaining studied silence or issuing contradictory versions on the controversial reinstatement of renegade Gurmeet Singh Pinki. The organization also blamed the media for not adhering to professional ethics and playing partisan role.

Ferozepur cop arrested for involvement in drug trade

A Punjab cop has reportedly been arrested for his alleged involvement in the drug trade. Head constable Sher Singh who was posted at Mamdot police station, was arrested on May 23 evening from cantonment bus stand following a tip-off. Information in this regard was released by Ferozepur SSP Hardyal Mann.

A teenager from Palhallan in Baramulla received multiple pellet injuries in his head, face and eyes, in action by paramilitary forces and police. Victim Hamid Nazir Bhat may not live a normal life again as his eye was critically damaged.
