Drugs racket: ED affixes Notice on the gate of former-jail minister Sarwan Singh Phillaur’s house

The trouble did not end with just resigning from the post of Punjab Jail Minister for Akali Dal Badal leader Sarwan Singh Phillaur as sleuths of Enforcement Directorate pasted copy of summon notice at the gate of his residence on Monday evening. The fresh trouble for the ex-minister is from the part of his son Damanvir Singh for his alleged involvement in multi-crore international drug racket.

Punjab: Ruling party MLA Joginder Pal Jain, family jailed for developing out illegal colony

A Moga court sentenced businessman turned politician and Badal Dal MLA from Moga constituency Joginder Pal Jain and his three members to one year in jail in a case of developing an illegal colony in Moga. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sangeeta Saluja convicted Jain, his wife Swaran Lata, son and daughter.
