United Sikhs to release Global Sikh Civil and Human Rights Report

Washington, DC (May 11, 2014): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the a US based Sikh NGO, United Sikhs, will be releasing Global Sikh Civil and Human Rights Report on May 21, 2014. The report will be released during an event to be held at 1539 Longworth Building, Washington, DC.

Hisar, Haryana (May 11, 2014): It is learnt that on May 08, 2014 a police official, who was the first to reach the spot and register an F.I.R about the Hondh Chillar Massacre recounted the horrific scene at the crime site while deposing before the Justice TP Garg commission.

Toronto Police say ‘Racist’ Brampton flyer is ‘perfectly legal’

Toronto, Canada (May 11, 2014): An anti-immigration flyer that sparked outrage for singling out the Sikh community when it was distributed in Brampton last month is “racist and offensive” Toronto police admit but does not warrant hate crimes charges, reported Toronto Star.

London, United Kingdom (May 11, 2014): ‘Sikhs in the Diaspora were in effect not accorded their rights 30 years ago and treated as second class citizens. The UK Government, supported by other governments have a moral and legal duty to establish the truth of the events of 30 yeas ago. This is the least they can do for their law-abiding Sikh citizens.
