Sikh masses participate in conference seeking release of Sikh political prisoners

Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 23, 2013): On the 40th day of struggle to secure release of some Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails in India despite having completed the sentences, the Sikh bodies organized a big gathering at Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali), where a Haryana based Sikh Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is on continuous hunger strike for last 40 days.

Mega rally of Sikh groups seeking release of Sikh political prisoners today

Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 23, 2013): It is learnt that various Sikh groups shall be holding a large rally-cum-conference at Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) seeking release of Sikh political prisoners languishing in Indian jails despite serving their sentences.

Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s health condition deteriorated further on 39th day of hunger strike

Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 23, 2013) It is learnt the health condition of Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who is on fast since November 14, 2013 unto death seeking release of 6 Sikh political prisoners deteriorated further on December 22. According to Punjabi Tribune, a vernacular published from Chandigarh, he lost two kilo-grams weight in last 24 hours.

Ludhiana, Punjab (December 22, 2013): According to certain media reports the Punjab Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal appealed to Bhai Gurbakash Singh Khalsa to end his hunger strike. It is notable that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has been on continuous hunger strike protest since November 14, 2013 demanding the release of 6 Sikh political prisoners who have completed their sentences.
