Jackson, MISS. (September 26, 2013): The American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU of Mississippi, and United Sikhs sent a letter to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) on September 25 calling on state officials to investigate the harassment of a Sikh commercial truck driver pulled over earlier this year for a flat tire.

Washington, DC (September 26, 2013): It is learnt that less than 20 days after securing summons from a US court against Congress president Sonia Gandhi for protecting perpetrators of the November 1984 genocide of Sikhs, New York-based rights group “Sikhs For Justice” (SFJ) has now secured summons from a federal court in Washington DC against Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his role in sanctioning big amounts as cash rewards for Punjab cops involved in the counter-insurgency operations the early 1990s, as well as protecting those involved in the Sikhs genocide 1984.

Washington, United States (September 26, 2013): "The World Sikh Council - America Region (WSC-AR) is extremely saddened by the horrific crimes of violence at the WestGate Mall, Nairobi, Kenya and at the All Saints Church in Peshawar, Pakistan. These acts of crimes against humanity need to be condemned by all peace loving citizens of the world" reads a statement sent by WSC-AR to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN).
