BC Sikhs join global movement rallying for Prof. Bhullar’s release

Vancouver, BC (April 17, 2013): According to a release by Canadian Sikh Coalition (CSC) on Thursday April 18 at 6:00 pm Sikhs from across the Lower Mainland of BC will be joining thousands of other Sikhs across the globe as they will unite at the Vancouver Art Gallery before marching to the Indian Consulate Office in downtown Vancouver, to rally against the illegal death sentencing of Professor Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar of Punjab.

Badals meet Centre for Prof. Bhullar; Home minister say the Govt. shall review the clemency plea

New Delhi, India (April 17, 2013): Two days back the Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal met Indian Prime Minister and Home Minister of India to urge clemency for Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar.

LFHRI to file review petition for Professor DPS Bhullar

Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 17, 2013): A human rights body named Lawyers for Human Rights International (LFHRI) has reportedly stressed that in the April 12 decision, upholding the death sentence of Prof. Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar, the Supreme Court of India (SCI) failed to take cognisance of Prof. Bhullar's mental health condition.

New Delhi, India (November 17, 2013): It is learnt that a Delhi court will announce its verdict in a November 1984 Sikh massacre case against Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and five others on April 30, 2013.
