Release of Bhai Daljeet Singh delayed; Now expected on Tuesday

Amritsar, Punjab (February 27, 2012): Apparently due to political pressure, the release of Sikh leader Bhai Daljeet Singh, chief of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani has been delayed. Though no fresh date of release is officially declared but it is expected that judicial orders requiring immediate release of Bhai Daljeet Singh shall be processed on Tuesday.

Release of Sikh Leader Bhai Daljeet Singh expected today

Amritsar, Punjab (February 27, 2012): Release of Sikh leader Bhai Daljeet Singh, Chief of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani is expected today from Central Jail Amritsar. Bhai Daljeet Singh was last arrested on 27 August, 2009 due to political reasons. Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur of Panch Pardhani told "Sikh Siyasat" that Bhai Sahib was being targeted by the Indian State due to his dissenting political ideology.

Dr. Sewak Singh to tell students importance of mother language

Malout, Punjab (February 26, 2012): International Mother Language Day is observed on 21 February every year. As per information posted on website of the Sikh Students Federation (SSF), Guru Teg Bahadur Group of Colleges, Chhapianwali, Malout unit of SSF will be organizing a special lecture of Dr. Sewak Singh on 27 February, 2012 to mark the day which signifies the importance of mother language.
