CHANDIGARH: Jeevay Sanjha Punjab has released a new booklet, ‘Sikh Historical Shrines in Pakistan – District Lahore’, to introduce readers to Sikh historical and religious sites in Pakistan.
Originally published in English in April 2025, the booklet was prepared by Dr Tarunjit Singh Butalia. Following an enthusiastic response from readers, it has been translated into Punjabi by Purva Masooda, making the information accessible to Punjabi readers.
The booklet focuses on sacred Sikh shrines, historical sites and their associated heritage in Lahore district. It provides details about these sites, including their current condition, locations and brief accounts of their historical significance.
By bringing this information together in one publication, the booklet offers readers a useful introduction to Sikh heritage in Lahore district. The initiative aims to connect younger generations with Sikh history and historical sites while helping readers better understand the Sikh heritage situated across the border.
