Ottawa: The World Sikh Organization of Canada (WSO) has released a new report titled India’s Disinformation Campaign Against Canada’s Sikhs: 2026 Report — Patterns, Propagation & Impact.

The report examines how false and misleading narratives concerning Sikh Canadians are allegedly created, amplified through social media, suspected bot networks and media platforms, and then introduced into Canadian public discourse. It also documents cases involving Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar, CBSA superintendent Sundeep “Sunny” Singh Sidhu and misleading narratives linked to Sikh political advocacy.
WSO says the issue should be viewed as part of Canada’s broader foreign-interference and democratic-trust concerns.
