The police today started forcible administration of glucose to fasting Sikh activist Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. The health condition of Bapu Surat Singh reportedly deteriorated today as he had stopped drinking water on July 20 evening when he was forcibly admitted to civil hospital of Ludhiana by the police.
Dal Khalsa activists led by its president H S Dhami and spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh. who visited civil hospital Ludhiana today to meet Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, who is on fast unto death since Jan 16, were not allowed to meet him by the police administration.
It appears that Badal Government intentionally wants to lose this case to wash off its hands from this issue. The hearing in the case is still going on, says HS Phoolka.
In a statement issued yesterday, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh condemned the Punjab government and Punjab police for use of "force" to shift Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa to hospital.
