Bibi Navneet Kaur, wife of Sikh Political Prisoner Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar, today arrived in Amritsar. She is reported to have met Prof. Bhullar in Guru Nanak Hospital this evening.

A book on "Ideological Encirclement of the Sikhs after the Massacre of 1984" will be released on 20 June. The book titled "Teeje Ghallughare ton baad Sikhan di sidhantak gherabandi" is authored by Sikh intellectual and historian S. Ajmer Singh and published by Singh Brothers (Amritsar). This is fourth book of an ongoing book series - Vihvin Sadi Di Sikh Rajneeti (Sikh politics of 20th Century).

Accused of using derogatory language against Sikh Gurus, Trikshan Mehta thrashed by jail inmates

Trikshan Mehta, nephew of suspended Congress leader from Ludhaina, was reportedly thrashed by some jail inmates yesterday. Trikshan Mehta is facing charges under section 295-A and 153-A of Indian Penal Code for using derogatory language against Sikh Guru Sahib.
