Sikhs bodies serve ultimatum to Punjab Govt. for closure of Noormehal Dera branches

Sikh Sangat in large numbers and representatives of various Sikh bodies today gathered at village Jodhpur near Tarn Taran where a saroop of Guru Granth Sahib was burnt on December 01. Sikh gathering served an ultimatum to the Punjab government, civil administration and the Police to ban the activities and seal the various Deras of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan across Punjab by December 12.

Sukhbir Badal seeks of Sikh political prisoners on ‘compassionate’ grounds

Chandigarh: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today sought immediate intervention of union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for the release, on compassionate grounds, of over 100 Sikh political prisoners in various jails who have completed their sentences.
