Jalandhar, Punjab: Jalandhar duty magistrate Simran Singh sent Bhai Harminder Singh Mintoo to jail on judicial custody. Harminder Singh Mintoo was on police remand since November 8 after his arrest from Delhi airport by Punjab police on Nov. 07.

Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa demanding release of 7 Sikh political prisoners only, clarifies Guri Hans

Ambala, Haryana: Gurbaksh Singh Khasla, who has been on hunger strike at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib (Ambala) since November 14, has clarified that he is seeking release of only seven of those Sikh political prisoners who have completed the terms of their sentences.

Sikh pilot’s statue unveiled in Gravesend (England)

Jalandhar: The statue of late Squadron Leader Mahinder Singh Pujji, Distinguished Flying Cross, was unveiled during a ceremony at Gravesend in the UK. Mahinder Singh Pujji went to the UK in 1940 and joined the Royal Air Force during the World War II. He died in 2010 at the age of 92 in Gravesend.
