Fearing arrest in “created case” Shashi Kant seek anticipatory bail from High Court

Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 30, 2014): As per media reports [f]earing his arrest in a "created case" by Punjab politicians, former Punjab DGP (Prisons) and Aam Aadmi Party leader Shashi Kant has moved the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking anticipatory bail in any criminal case to be registered against him in the state.

Badal Dal supporter damaged voting machine in Patiala, FIR registered, persons arrested

Patiala, Punjab (April 30, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) a voting machine was damaged by some persons at a polling station in Bajwa Colony in Patiala. The police has reportedly registered an FIR in this regard. The police has also taken some persons in custody for damaging the voting machine.
