UK: David Cameron faces a boycott of Tory candidates by Sikhs if he refuses to discuss Sikh concerns about Amritsar Massacre

London, United Kingdom (February 16, 2014): “Thousands of Sikh voters could boycott Conservative candidates at next year’s general election in protest at David Cameron’s refusal to launch a public inquiry into Britain’s role in the 1984 Amritsar massacre”, The Telegraph has reported.

AAP declares 20 candidates; First List also names HS Phoolka, Jarnail Singh Journalist

New Delhi, India (February 16, 2014): As per information Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has declared its first list of candidates. The list released on February 16 names 20 candidates who shall contest upcoming Parliamentary election on AAP ticket. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is not among the candidates declared in the first list.

Sikh awareness at San Quentin State Prison

The Sikh Coalition was recently asked to present to a group of inmates at San Quentin State Prison in Northern California. Organized by the Asian Prisoner Support Committee, which has a weekly class inside San Quentin State Prison called SQ ROOTS (Restoring Our Original True Selves), the Sikh Coalition was asked to make a presentation about the Sikh community.
