Bhai Damandeep Singh’s hunger protest continues on day 3; Various leaders meet him; 100 Sikhs to provide 24 hour security cover

Amb Sahib/ Mohali, Punjab (December 08, 2013): As per information various Sikh leaders and preachers including Simranjit Singh Mann, Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal, Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale, Baba Hardeep Singh Mehraj have visited Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) to meet Bhai Damandeep Singh Khasla whose fast unto death, seeking release of certain Sikh prisoners has entered 3rd day today.

Since Bhai Gurbaksh Singh started his hunger strike on November 14, the mainstream media of India, as well as the state machinery has largely ignored Bhai Sahib’s protest and demands once again exposing the biased and oppressive nature of the Indian establishment.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s fast unto death enters 25th day; Remains hospitalized in Ropar Jail

SAS Nagar/ Ropar, Punjab (December 8, 2013): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s fast unto death seeking release of Sikh prisoners who have completed the terms of their sentences has entered 25th day today. He is currently hospitalized in Ropar Jail where his parents and son Jujhar Singh met him.

Amritsar, Punjab (December 08, 2013): According to certain media reports Punjab's deputy Chief Minister and president of Punjab's ruling party Shiromani Akali Dal Badal held a meeting with Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh at Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) information centre near ghanta ghar entrance of Darbar Sahib (Amritsar) on December 07, 2013.
