Sikh genocide petition tabled in Australian Parliament

Canberra, Australia (November 01, 2012): According to reports available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Australian MP Hon. Warren Entsch has tabled a petition of more than 4,000 signatures, calling for the government to recognise the killing of more than 37,000 Sikhs in India in 1984 as a genocide.

Australia (October 31, 2012): It is learnt that KAP Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter has called for a national day of mourning and remembrance in 2014 to commemorate the 30-year anniversary of the deaths of 37,000 Sikhs across India.

Son of Sardar Controversy – Plea before Bombay High court seeking stay on release of movie

Nagpur, India (November 01, 2012): The controversy surrounding various portions of upcoming Hindi Movie “Son of Sardar” continues to cast shadows on the forthcoming release of the movie as there are reports that two lawyers have approached the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court against movie's producer Devgn, Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Leela Samson, and five others, urging the court to stay the release of film.

Ajay Devgn screened ‘Son Of Sardaar’ for society headed by Congress MLC

According to certain media reports actor-producer Ajay Devgn recently organised a screening of the his upcoming Hindi film "Son of Sardar" for members of the Punjabi Cultural Heritage (PCH). It is notable that PCH is headed by a Congress MLC from Mulund Charan Singh Sapra.
