Death Sentence: SCI expected to pronounce verdict on Kasab’s plea on August 29

New Delhi (August 28, 2012): The Supreme Court of India is expected to deliver its verdict on Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab's plea against his conviction and death sentence in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in which 166 people were killed.

Oak Creek Sikh Gurudwara terror striker had killed himself

Milwaukee (August 28, 2012): According to media reports it has been officially ruled that Wade Michael Page, who murdered six Sikhs in a terror strike on Oak Creek Sikh Gurudwara Sahib in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) on August 05, 2012 – shot himself and died.

Sikh Federation (UK) hopeful of favourable solution of Sikh Turban (Dastar) issue in Europe

London (August 28, 2012): The Sikh Federation (UK) has claimed to have received the letter from the Department for Transport regarding the respect to the Sikh turban (dastaar) at airports in the UK. The organization is hopeful regarding favorable solution of the issue in European countries including the UK.

California – United Sikhs want Sikhism be included in school curriculum

California (August 28, 2012): Taking another step forward to make the world acquaint with the distinct identity of Sikhs who were being subjected to hate crime post 9/11, United Sikhs, a NGO, has begun a drive to press upon California government to add Sikhism in school curriculum.
