Punjab CM Badal opposed to center’s proposal to shift “Water” to concurrent list

Chandigarh (July 16, 2012): Media reports have suggested that the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has taken a strong exception to the revelation made by the Union Water Resources Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal regarding the Centre's proposal to shift the subject of water from the "State list" to the "Concurrent list" of the Constitution of India with the purported objective to deal with water scarcity and conservation issues in the India's "national interest".

Haryana Govt. authorised Garg Commission to inquire Pataudi & Gurgaon massacres also

Chandigarh (July 16, 2012): It has been recently reported in media today the Haryana government extended the scope of the Garg Commission, a single member commission, constituted to inquire into the killing of innocent Sikhs during the Hondh Massacre of Novmeber 1984 at village Hondh Chillar, to cover Pataudi and Gurgaon districts in addition to the area already assigned.

Chandigarh/Haryana, India (July 16, 2012): As per information available with Sikh Siyasat victims of November 1984 announced that if within 30 days Garg Commission failed to comply with the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court and failed to visit Sikh genocide site located at Village Hondh Chillar near Rewari at Haryana they will sit on indefinite hunger strike.

Human rights bodies to hold protest demonstration against the massacre of Adivasis of Bijapur at Delhi

New Delhi, India (July 16, 2012): As per a communiqué sent by Students for Resistance (SFR) a joint demonstration would be held in Delhi tomorrow to protest against recent massacre of Adivasis of Bijapur, Chhatisgarh by Indian armed forces.
