Ludhiana (August 14, 2010): In a statement received by SikhSiyasat Network through email, it is said that All Indian Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has appealed all religious minorities in India to stand in solidarity with the victims of November 1984 Sikh Genocide by joining in boycotting the August 15 Independence Day Celebrations and observe it as "black day".

Cops responsible for Brutal killings of innocents awarded promotions: MESHRF

Amritsar (August 12, 2010): Citing a few instances of stage-managed encounters by the Punjab Police during the militancy period in the state, the Majha Ex-Servicemen Human Rights Front today urged the government to initiate action against those police officials who were involved in killing innocent Punjabi youths terming them as militants.

Independence Day of Pakistan & India, because of Sikhs

As we all know that today i.e. on 14th August is the Independence Day of Pakistan and tomorrow i.e. on 15th August is the Independence Day of India. In both these countries these days are celebrated with great Spirit. People from both the countries used to remember their freedom fighters on these days and salutes them who laid down their lives for the freedom of their respective countries.
