Amargarh: S. Simranjit Singh Mann, President of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann), lost the election from Amargarh with a difference of around six thousand votes. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Prof. Jaswant Singh Gajjan Majra bagged the seat with more than 44 thousand votes.
SAD (Mann) had fielded candidates from more than 80 constituencies. Though none of them were able to record victory, the party has bagged more votes than previous elections.
