Ottawa: The Transport Canada has reportedly allowed Sikhs to wear small Kirpan on board on domestic and international flights. The exemption however is not applicable to fight to United States of America (USA).

Welcoming the move, the World Sikh Organisation of Canada informed that as per new list of prohibited items issued by Transport Canada, small (6 cm blade) Kirpan won’t be prohibited on board.

WSO further informed that England and European Union has already allowed passengers to fly with Kirpans having blade upto 6 cm.
