New Delhi/ Patiala (April 04, 2014): Sikh scholar and intellectual Dr. Gurbhagat Singh passed away. He had suffered a stroke about two weeks back and was shifted to Delhi from Patiala for treatment. He breathed last this morning at Delhi.

Dr. Gurbhagat Singh, former Head of Department of English at Punjabi University, Patiala was working on interpretation of Guru Granth Sahib (the Sikh scripture) in English language for past many years, that was about to be completed.

His demise is a huge loss for the Sikh panth.
