Ludhiana, Punjab (March 17, 2014): According to certain media reports Congress party leader Manish Tiwari is unlikely to contest Lok Sabha election from Ludhaina. Manish Tiwari is Congress party’s sitting MP from Ludhiana.
As per media reports he was admitted to a hospital in Delhi on Saturday (March 15), with sources close to him stating that he complained of breathlessness, palpitation and anxiety.
“Sources said keeping in view his poor health, he had staked a claim on Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat on the plea that it is smaller area compared to Ludhiana” the Indian Express (IE) has reported.
His adversaries, however, have been stating he is reluctant to contest from Ludhiana since he faces anti-incumbency and allegations of being a “weekend MP”.
