BELGIUM — The third volume of the Kaurnama series, authored by Baljinder Singh Kotbhara, was released during a special event held at Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur in Belgium in memory of Bhai Jagdish Singh Bhura, four years after his passing. The book was unveiled by Sikh women in the presence of a large gathering of Sangat members and Panthic representatives from across Europe.

Kaurnama-3 has previously been launched in Punjab, Canada, Germany, and the United States, where it has received widespread appreciation from readers and members of the Sikh community.
Speaking at the event, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Khunian of Sikh Federation Germany highlighted the importance of preserving the history of the Sikh struggle, particularly the events of June 1984. He said that documenting historical experiences and sacrifices is essential for ensuring that future generations remain connected to their heritage and collective memory.

He noted that Kaurnama-3 focuses on the lives and sacrifices of Sikh women who were martyred at Sri Darbar Sahib during the June 1984 military assault. The publication is the result of extensive research carried out by author Baljinder Singh Kotbhara, who gathered information from surviving family members, relatives, and acquaintances under the guidance of Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu.
Reflecting on the contributions of Bhai Jagdish Singh Bhura, Bhai Khunian said that he played a significant role in promoting Sikh remembrance initiatives in Europe. Among his notable efforts was the establishment of a memorial gate and monument in the Belgian city of Ypres, dedicated to Sikh Martyrs who lost their lives during the Second World War. The site continues to host annual commemorative events in their honour.
