Patiala, Ludhiana (February 26, 2012): In a recent statement sent to various media networks, including Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur, sister of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana – a Sikh political prisoner who is facing death punishment in connection with the assassination of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, said that the letter written by his brother – Bhai Rajoana, was misinterpreted by Indian media, especially the PTI.

Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur said in the statement written in Punjabi that Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana did not mentioned in the letter that he is willing to be hanged at the earliest possible.

“With this letter, I want to make my position clear once again that I am not ready to bow before the Congress. Neither I earlier pleaded for mercy nor will I do it in future. They can test my determination at any time,” the letter, which Bhai Rajoana had written on February 16, 2013 from Patiala central jail, stated.
