Will continue with my struggle for permanent release of political prisoners: Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa

Mohali, Punjab (December 29, 2013): While talking to certain media persons at Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) on December 28, Sikh activist Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa said that he would continue his protest for the permanent release of the Sikh prisoners. Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa had reached Amb Sahib Gurdwara after ending his 45-day hunger strike at the Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar.

New York, United States (December 29, 2013): “Sikhs For Justice”, a US based human rights group while supporting the prosecution of Indian deputy counsel general Devyani Khobragade, welcomed the 2013 report of the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, which highlights that impunity represents a major challenge in India.
