Sikhs & Hindus Are Diametrically Poles Apart Both In Theory And Practice: Dal Khalsa Tells RSS

Fatehgarh Sahib: Rubbishing the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s utterances during a rally in Baitul, Madhya Pradesh that all those who are born in India are Hindus, the pro freedom party Dal Khalsa today reaffirmed that Sikhs were neither Hindus nor were they followers of Indian culture.

Out rightly rejecting RSS theory of “one nation, one culture”, the organization categorically stated that there were many nationalities living in India that have different cultures, histories, traditions and way of life.

Chiding the RSS chief, party head Harpal Singh Cheema stated that even our citizenship as Indian is temporary and that too because presently we have no choice.”

In a strong worded statement, he said Sikhs have their own traditions, history, scriptures, language and culture. He said though born in the Indian sub-continent, our religious leanings may have some affinity with Hinduism and Islam, but unmistakably ‘Sikhs are a distinct people’. Harpal Singh Cheema further said that Sikhs and Hindus are diametrically  poles apart in theory as well as in practice.

The political philosophy of Chanakya, which the RSS follows, is based on deceit whereas the Gurmat that the Sikhs follow is based on trust and truth.
