Recently a news report by BBC about an investigative report by Center For Information Resilience (CIR) which highlighted the fact that a network of fake social media profiles was deliberately targeting Sikhs and spreading hate against them while pushing forward Indian government’s narratives. There fake profiles were created with Sikh names.

SikhPakh.Com has studies CIR’s report and found that the pattern of abuse is similar to proposed working of controversial Social Media Communications Hub (SoMeCH) which was proposed by the Government of India three days back but the implementation of which was haled after strong resentment from the civil society.

SikhPakh.com has raised alarm about indications of unofficial revival of SoMeCH by Indian state.
