Chandigarh: The Punjab government has declared a paid holiday for all the registered voters of Gurdaspur Parliamentary Constituency working in different factories and business establishments within the jurisdiction of Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts on October 11, 2017 (Wednesday) to enable them to exercise their franchise during the Gurdaspur Parliamentary Bye-poll.
According to an official spokesman of the government, the paid holiday would be the weekly paid off in all factories where Wednesday is not a close day, in lieu of the normal paid holiday.
