While expressing solidarity with Kashmir cause, party head Harcharnjit Singh Dhami said, “Pakistan’s open support for the cause was highly admirable. However, it’s ironic that international community has not so far lend its open support to the Sikh struggle for right to self-determination”, he rued.

He called upon people of Pakistan and present day Nawaz led government to broaden their role in South Asia and speak for Sikhs of Punjab, who too like Kashmiris’ were struggling for their independence from Indian yoke democratically’.

He reiterated how the democratic struggle of people of Kashmir inspires all struggles for nationality and rights. He said the same atrocities that are being perpetrated in Kashmir have been unleashed on the people of Punjab and as neighboring states, both Punjab and Kashmir should stand by each other in their fight for liberation.

He said their group believes that strategically, the people of Kashmir and Punjab can play a significant role in finding a potentially peaceful solution to the political conflicts in South Asia in general and the India-Pakistan generational conflict in particular.
