Chandigarh: The Punjab Government on July 01 initiated ‘Ik Shaam Apni Sarkar De Naal’ programme to showcase the “achievements” of the Badal-BJP government by organising publicity media vans shows across the state.
Disclosing this at Chandigarh, a spokesperson of the state government said that these shows have been started from July 01 evening, with the aim to bring the government more closer to the people. “This innovative project would play a proactive role by make general public aware about the people friendly initiatives, policies and programmes of the state government”, reads a statement issued by the Punjab government.

“These vans have been installed with 6 ft high & 8 ft wide LED screens and will reach people in every town and city across the length and breadth of the state in next days, to highlight the achievements of the SAD-BJP Government, said the spokesperson. These vans will screen ‘short films’ on various welfare measures and the achievements of the government at villages and towns where large number of people gather in order to provide awareness about various social welfare schemes so that the maximum number of deserving people can be taken under their ambit”, Badal government spokesperson added.
The achievements, the projects and policies drafted for the welfare of the people will give public an insight into the revolutionary steps taken by SAD-BJP government and each viewer will get the feel of being a proud Punjabi -“Saada Punjab Saadi Shaan, Saanu Punjabi Hon Te Maan”, reads the statement.
The vans are equipped with inbuilt GPS system with latest vehicle tracking equipment and surveillance cameras have been installed in these vehicles to help the Directorate of Information and Public Relations to monitor the vehicle movement and public response at places where films will be screened. A detailed programme and guidelines have been chalked out by the Public Relations Department to cover the entire state, said he and added that a Monitoring hub has been established at DIPR to oversee the complete movement of the vans.
“After this audio visual publicity, people will be able to judge for themselves that Punjab is scaling new heights of progress. They will be able to decipher between the negative propaganda and the actual reality”, concludes the statement by Badal government.
