The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted bail to Sikh youth Gursewak Singh Bhoot. Gursewak Singh was booked by Punjab police in a case related to the killing of Mahinderpal Bittu, one of the prime accused in the Bargari beadbi case.
The Panjab University administration has suspended seven students affiliated with the Sath organization. Sath is a students' body active in the Panjab university campus for past few years.
