As per media reports the Khap panchayats' leaders have threatened to disconnect Punjab from New Delhi after two days by blocking road and rail connectivity if Punjab does not construct the controversial Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) canal.
The Haryana state has reportedly taken a decision to stop long route bus services to Punjab with immediate effect. Haryana Roadways buses to Jammu, which pass through Punjab, have also been stopped.
