Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) leader form from California (USA) Resham Singh Sandhu was reportedly sent on one day police remand today.

Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) chief S. Simranjit Singh Mann said that he would take three steps – climbing to the water tanks, crossing over to Pakistan and seek political asylum there and then perform self immolation to protest against Sukhbir Badal’s continuous refusal to hold talks with the organizers of November 10 Sikh gathering at Talwandi Sabo termed as “Sarbat Khalsa 2016” by the organizers.

The Punjab police crackdown on Sikh leaders has intesified. The police is reported to have arrested many Sikh leaders belonging to Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann), United Akali Dal and other Sikh groups connected with the November 10 Sikh gathering at Talwandi Sabo.

SGPC Resolution Seeks Release of Sikh Political Prisoners

The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee's General House held on Nov. 05, 2016 passed a resolution demanding release of Sikh Political Prisoners.

SGPC members belonging to the Tohra faction reportedly walked out of the general house of SGPC held at Teja Singh Samundari Hall yesterday soon after the announcement of Kirpal Singh Badungar’s name as the new president of SGPC.
