Aam Aadmi Party to release first list of Candidates in May for Punjab Polls 2017

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced to release first list of party candidates for upcoming Punjab Polls 2017 in the month of May. AAP's newly appointed Punjab unit spokesperson Sukhpal Khaira said that there was no differences amongst the party cadres as regards selection of candidates for Punjab Polls 2017.

No space for Sikh diaspora representatives in SGPC’s committee on Hate Crimes against Sikhs abroad

The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has formed a committee on hate crimes against Sikhs in United States and other foreign countries. According to Daljeet Singh Bedi, additional secretary of the SGPC, the committee- which comprises Sikh academicians, intellectuals and representatives of Sikh some traditional organisations, would examine the issue and submit recommendations.

DSGMC president Manjit Singh G.K’s move to wave Indian tricolour flag to flag-off a bus carrying 150 Indian youths towards NIT Srinagar has irked a Sikh Youth groups called Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP).
