The Government of Canada continues to ignore repeated calls from Canadian Sikh organizations to put in place a Royal commission to get to the bottom of this crime.

More declassified papers from 1985 show Margaret Thatcher held a very one-sided view of Sikhs in the UK. As further revelations emerge it shows selling arms to India and breaking India’s link with the Soviet Union was critical to Margaret Thatcher and she was heavily influenced by pressure and misinformation from India that was trying to hide its Genocide of the Sikhs.

In a statement issued today, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) president Paramjeet Singh Sarna took strong notice of yesterday’s meeting of Takhat Sri Hazoor Sahib Board. Criticising Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), Sarna said that SAD (B) patron Parkash Singh Badal was responsible for handing over control of Takhat Hazoor Sahib to Hindutva fountainhead- Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh.

World Sikh Organisation deeply concerned by proposed Niqab Ban

The World Sikh Organization of Canada is deeply concerned by Bill C-75, the "Oath of Citizenship Act", introduced by the government last Friday, shortly before the closing of the parliamentary session until after the fall election. The Bill would prohibit the wearing of niqabs by Muslim women during citizenship ceremonies, requiring that all candidates be "seen and heard" reciting the oath of citizenship.
