New Delhi: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) officials participated in a program organized by controversial Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, a wing of Hindutva fountainhead Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS). DSGMC is currently controlled by Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) that has decades long power alliance with Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), a Hindutva political outfit and ruling party of India. DSGMC is headed by Manjit Singh GK who maintains himself as one of the biggest propagandist of “Indian Nationalism”.

Ludhiana: All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF - Peermohammad) and victims of November 1984 Sikh genocide asked the Punjab Government to recognize 1984 genocidal massacres of the Sikhs as “Genocide”. A resolution was sent to Parkash Singh Badal, Punjab Chief Minister “to recognize the intentional, deliberate and systematic killing of Sikhs in India during November 1984 as "Genocide" as defined under the laws of the United States and UN Convention”.

Patiala, Punjab: Media reports say Ramandeep Singh Goldy was remanded in five-day police custody by Patiala Judicial Magistrate First Class Jagmeet Singh on November 14. Police says that he was arrested last week from the Chennai airport in connection with the murder of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat state president Rulda Singh in 2009. The controversial Rashtriya Sikh Sangat is an affiliate of the Hindutva fountainhead Rashtriya Swayamseak Sangh (RSS).

The October 27 decision of the Kendriya Vidyalaya governing board to discontinue teaching German as an option to Sanskrit could affect about 70,000 students from classes 6-8.

The Tribune report highlights that the ‘SAD (Badal) core-committee members were irked over BJP salvos against the party’. Daily Ajit headline reads ‘Akali Dal ne duhrai Bhajpa naal sanjh jaari rakhan di isha’ (Badal Dal re-expressed it’s willingness to continue alliance with BJP”.
