Dallas, Texas, USA (August 22, 2014): On August 10th , a man walked into Gurdwara Singh Sabha of North Texas claiming to be an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officer there to do an audit. He confronted one of the gurdwara members, and accused the gurdwara of not having paid its taxes. He said the IRS would be raiding the gurdwara very soon, and started to walk out of the building towards the parking lot.

Faridkot/ Bathinda, Punjab (August 22, 2014): Just after the byelections were over in Punjab, the Punjab police reportedly arrested Sikh preacher and Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (ad hoc) member Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal. As per information available the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Baba Daduwal was arrested by Faridkot district police in late evening of August 21.

New Delhi, India (August 22, 2014): According to information a Delhi based Indian court acquitted another accused in a November 1984 Delhi Sikh massacre related case in which a Hindu mob had set afire a Sikh Gurdwara leading to the death of three people. The could held that the CBI has a "very, very weak case" as it has failed to prove accused's presence on the spot of crime. Investigation against senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler is still pending in this case.
