Chandigarh/ Punjab (May 18, 2014): The vote share of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and the Communist Party of India (CPI) has reduced to negligible 0.3% and 0.4%, respectively.

Sikhs to March for Sovereignty at UN Headquarters in NYC on June 6th

New York, Punjab (May 15, 2014): On June 06, human rights group "Sikhs for Justice" (SFJ) will hold a "Sikh Sovereignty March" in Manhattan to mark the 30 year of attack on the Golden Temple, the Vatican of Sikhism. The march, which is expected to be attended by more than 5000 Sikhs, will start in front of India's Permanent Mission to the UN and will end at United Nations Headquarters.
