Chandigarh/ Punjab (December 19, 2013): In a significant political development after yesterday's meeting between Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and three representatives of the Bandi Singhs Rihai Morcha, former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh's family members have given a statement before media that they have no objections to the release of three Sikhs confined in Burrail jail for their connection with assassination of CM Beant Singh.

Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) has accessed a copy of "Will" sent by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa to Akal Takht Sahib. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh is on continuous hunger strike since November 14, 2013 seeking release of six Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails in India even after completing the terms of their sentences.

Chandigarh/ Mohali (December 19, 2013): Deccan Herald has reported that the demand for the release of Sikh prisoner Gurdeep Singh Khera lodged in the Gulbarga central jail in Karnataka for the last 23-years is garnering support from various quarters in Punjab who are strongly backing the indefinite hunger strike initiated by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa in protest of the incarceration of the Sikhs.

Amritsar, Punjab (December 19, 2013): Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who is sitting on hunger strike unto death demanding the release of 6 Sikh political prisoners who had completed their jail sentences, has sent his will to Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib. The will was sent through a delegations of Sikh religious personalities, accompanied by many others Sikhs, from Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) to Akal Takht Sahib.
