Giani Gurbachan Singh takes notice of Sayali’s petition in Delhi High Court

Amritsar, Punjab (October 20, 2013): It is learnt that Giani Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, has taken notice of Delhi resident Jatinder Singh Sayali who had filed a petition in court against Akal Takht's directives directing former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) head Paramjit Singh Sarna to withdraw his petition (from Delhi High Court) against proposal of raising Sikh genocide 1984 memorial in Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib.

Punjabi University Patiala launches one year diploma course in Gatka

Germany Sikh bodies jointly appeal for 1984yesitsgenocide petition

Mannheim, Germany (October 20, 2013): It is learnt that various Sikh bodies of Germany have issued an appeal to join the 1984yesitsgenocide campaign initiated by US based human rights and advocacy group “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ). SFJ has opened a petition for online signatures that shall be submitted to a United Nations’ body on 1 November.

Akal Takht Jathedar takes notice against self-styled godman Lakha who equates himself to Sikh Gurus

Amritsar, Punjab (October 20, 2013): It is learnt that in wake of some miscreant attempting to dishonor the Sikh traditions the Akal Takht Jathedar, after consultation with Jathedars of other Sikh Takhts, has barred using the title of ' Patshahi' by any individual except while mentioning the Sikh Gurus.
