Turban & Beard Halloween Costume removal demanded by Sikh Coalition in Letter to Walmart and Amazon

Washington (October 01, 2013): Under pressure from the Sikh community, Walmart on Friday pulled a turban-themed costume from its website that the Sikh Coalition has said is offensive to 9/11 victims and perpetuates "negative stereotypes about turbans and beards that have led to violence and discrimination against Sikhs and other minorities."

Who should be ashamed of? – Sikhs for Justice or the Indian State, Manmohan Singh and Indian Media

Chandigarh/ Punjab (October 01, 2013): Recently, a US based Sikh advocacy and Human Rights group, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) got registered, in the US Courts, complaints against Indian political leaders including Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for their alleged role in shielding the perpetrators of the Sikh Genocide 1984. The US Courts issued summons against the concerned Indian leaders in these lawsuits.

Major retailers remove Turban and Beard costume on request of Sikh Coalition

Washington, DC (September 30, 2013): It is learnt that in less than a week after Dr. Prabhjot Singh was slurred as “Osama” and viciously assaulted in a hate crime in New York City, the Sikh Coalition successfully persuaded Walmart and RiteAid to stop selling costumes resembling Osama bin Laden.

Sunam Court acquits all 14 Dera Sauda Sirsa followers in Bhai Kamaljit Singh Suman’s murder case

Suman, Punjab (October 01, 2013): It is learnt that on September 30, 2013 a trial court of Sunam acquitted 14 Dera Sauda Sirsa followers in Bhai Kamaljit Singh Sunam's murder case.
